This reminds me of an old Starsky and Hutch where Hutch was kidnapped and held hostage, and his abductors wanted his girlfriend, and to know where she was at. He wouldn't tell them, so they forcefully got him addicted to heroin, and were denying him the next fix in order to coerce him into telling them her location.
