Ran's mom(?) looks pretty nice. Also, that place doesn't look like Earth, judging by the stuff in the sky, so Ran is an alien. But this idea that Ran was orphaned in a snowstorm(?) makes me sad.

It could just be another plane.

That red ball clip kind of looks like the one Ran uses on the collar of her dress.

So... Yukari picked up Ran while looting her mother's corpse. Makes perfect sense.

Kinda sweet that Ran gave Chen the earring, though.

No, but I have spent three hours on top of a mountain in white-out. Getting down was arduous to say the least, not really my idea of relaxing stroll.
