I'm ecstatic she's finally releasing, but is she not getting an event? Looking at the twitter it looks like she's dropping just with the immortalization of the Rowdy and Cheery event... is that a first?

yeah but there were a lot of issues with that event won't be surprising if erika participation was cut

For One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Twenty Eight (1928) days, Erika has held the title as Undisputed NPC Champion. Today, we celebrate her promotion into Playable Status.

If we count the end of the CBT, she has been waiting for Two Thousand and One Hundred (2100) days.

Chrono Genesis does have one of the coolest names. Also sounds like a Chrono Trigger prequel, or maybe some kind of JRPG limit break move.

Meanwhile these poor three... I Took Off My Socks (Kutsushita Nugeta), Braised Pork (Butano Kakkuni) and Miso Simmered Mackerel (Sabano Missoni)... are also actual horse names IRL.

Oh well, at least they have company on the other side of the Pacific.

Not a thoroughbred tho.

The 'creativity' of horse names comes from the regulation that every single horse that exist needs an unique identifier. So you can't have Chrono Genesis Second or even something close to that.

And even if the rule technically only applies to thoroughbred, most horse owners gave ridiculous names anyways to make hype for the horses. People will often bet on horses with coolest or funniest names in races.

you may not know but some racehorses name were used more than once. especially if it has bad (no good) records. the moment one having a good record or is too popular well that happens

I know about it, yes, and those names are only allowed in certain cases:

1: after a set of years (generally 5-15 years, so after a horse career ended or after the original horse died).
2: born in different countries (heck even this actually has a problem. Sierra Nevada case is the highlight).
3: they are of non-racing breeds.

Major race winners names are never allowed to be reused in any way or form, and considered as 'protected names', kind of copyrighted of their original horses/owners.
