No nontraditional is completely separate from implied. I agree its a mess and agree with others that @war6t2 should reject these BURs and make them in a new thread called "grouping nontraditional halos" or "making a traditional halo" tag.
We can have a more clear discussion there.
Done forum #277093.
BUR #44364 is pending approval.
deprecate halo_framing
deprecate halo_illusion
The same user is remaking these tags under a different name.
Once again a halo is either there or it isn't.
Once again sun behind head and moon behind head exist.
Once again halo behind head exists.
Once again symbolism exists
Most importantly once again the tag already is inconsistently applied by the creator.

Hi I have been busy with exams and such so sorry for the late reply. The issue with the original not the subject but the name. It's just the tag for the classic trope of framing a character as if they have a halo without them actually having one. Eg, post #7430091 (The single post with a different tag seems to be a mistake on my part though- fixed. Sorry about that). None of the mentioned things fufill the search purpose either.
"Halo behind head" is filled with every blue archive/honkai star rail/etc character being framed from below (most egrigious being porn, so not the best to link). Not to mention this guy with a very much "physical" behind the head halo being in many of the results
Even halo_behind_head traditional_halo still gives traditional halos behind the characters heads.
And keep in mind if that this tag got deprecated those posts wouldn't qualify for "traditional halo" so they would be even harder to find.
Sun/moon/planet/etc behind head are not only often used NOT to imply a halo, but they're also multiple different small tags. Not to mention that actual halo framing can be done by ANYTHING, not just a celestial body or even a light source.
Areole or however it's spelled was also discussed back when the halo discussion first arose (both on discord and site) and disliked for sounding too simmilar to areola and also having vauge definition. (And also includes "real" halos as long as they are drawn a certain way).
Symbolism is also just absurdly vauge and includes, well, any form of symbolism.
So you have a pretty clearly defined trope that is otherwise impossible to search for because of what seems to be a knee jerk reaction to the tag having a bad name a year ago. If anyone prefers a different name to halo_framing go nuts though, I initially considered "halo effect" but that's the name of a phsychological phenomona.
I agree that it is a trope but that is not what you have made. just like last time post #7495355 and post #7622077 are both halo_behind_head as are several more images in the tag. Halo is a broad tag, the solution here, much like with traditional halo is to make smaller more specific halo tags but you are grouping several things under this umbrella including "real halos" like listed above, Rising Sun imagery with post #4283059, non-halo-esque moon_behind_head with post #9192189 and post #7296204, and few that do have the framing but I don't know why you wouldn't slap symbolism on like post #8721215. Note also our halo tag itself already applies to things like forced perspective or images like post #7430091.
What meaningfully makes post #8538461 halo_framing and not just halo like the thousands of other posts with this exact type of halo?
