Gonna be honest, I'm not really convinced we need meme attire. A wiki page to list all of the meme attires would suffice, but right now we're just dumping tons of different outfits under this gentag for no reason.

Then what should we do? Deprecate meme attire as a tag, or create a dedicated pool, or something?

mass update golden_week_bikini -> -golden_week_bikini gold_bikini

As others mentioned earlier, I just don’t see any reason why this tag needs to be split off from gold bikini.
If someone really wants to document a trend from a specific time period, wouldn’t it be enough to leave a note on the gold bikini or golden week wiki page?
This is actually my first time seeing this tag, and I don’t think I’ll have any reason to look it up again.

golden_week_bikini (slingshot_swimsuit or one-piece_swimsuit)

Deprecating + mass update removing it from posts of the implicated tags should be fine, but it needs its own discussion topic because people might disagree.

I think I have to agree, I'll make a new thread for this

Actually, we should just make this an alias if people are actively tagging it/searching for it, so that they go to what they're searching for directly instead of having to do an intermediate jump.

That's actually a good move, it makes sense to redirect people to the same results.

The ai-generated (topic) tag was supposed to be used for posts making fun of AI artworks, or referencing AI in some form.
The dress being AI generated doesn't warrant the tag, partly because many artists probably drew it without thinking that it was made through AI.

"A common use of this tag is for re-drawings of an AI-generated image that has gone viral."

I don't think an implication is necessary but it absolutely is in scope for the tag.

Edit: Actually it looks like this is standard, other similar tags imply it already.

That doesn't necessarily apply, check the various tags that imply it already:
domino's pizza ai images (meme), ai-generated touhou, ai angry dr. mario (meme), italian brainrot ai animals (meme). We have examples like post #9209553, which don't reference AI at all, just has a shark with feet. In practice, the tag is just implied by anything that is a redrawing of/drawing including elements from an AI generation.

If that's the intended use case of the tag, then we should probably unimply a lot of these tags. Additionally, Ii don't think whether or not the art knows that the dress is AI generated should factor in case of tagging practices. Tag what you see, not what knowledge the artist is privy to.
