There are TONS OF artworks that have symbol and hashtag commentaries have "symbol-only_commentary" tags
And the mistakes makers are SO MANY.
So i edited the wiki of symbol-only_commentary, but undone later

Symbol-only commentary wiki used to have a clause about hashtags and unformatted links not counting against this tag until just January this year, so I think it's people not knowing that it got changed (I didn't really remember that it's different now either).
topic #25867
Most of the discussion was about hashtag-only commentary with some debate on whether they should count as actual commentary, which some mentions of symbol-only commentary and whether hashtags disqualify posts for it.
Also, I believe we should keep the wikis as neutral-sounding as possible. That includes not making words bold or italicized when it's not necessary (though I think using them for things like titles is fine).

I totally missed this change. In that case, how do we tag commentaries that are solely symbols and hashtags?

I personally prefer symbol-only commentary for that situation; it seems weird not to use that tag if there's a hashtag or two, or a link. It also fits with the last sentence in the wiki for commentary where it says not to use commentary request for commentaries where the only untranslated parts are hashtags. Edit: if this ends up being the policy we use, the line about ignoring hashtags should be re-inserted into the wiki for symbol-only commentary.

maybe symbol-only commentary should just be renamed/aliased to symbol commentary or something
and the wiki should specify it should be used for a) symbol's only or b) symbol's and hashtags
I bet most dated commentary posts for example don't even have written text to them tbh. just the Date or the Date+Hashtag. (I could be wrong tho)

My concern with that is people will see symbols in commentary with written words and add that tag because they didn't check the wiki.
It was originally symbol commentary and that was the reason why it was renamed to symbol-only commentary in the first place.
