After an upsettingly long amount of time spent logging into sites and mucking around with settings, I have been entirely incapable of getting the upload bookmarklet to function on my Android phone. Even after making another bookmark and changing its URL to the bookmarklet, running it fails in three different ways across three different browsers:
- On DuckDuckGo, it searches the content of the bookmarklet instead of actually running it.
- On Firefox, it runs the bookmarklet, but on the blank new tab page instead of the actual tab you're on, presumably a side effect of how it always opens bookmarks on a new tab.
- On Chrome, it just does absolutely nothing.
So, am I doing something wrong? Is there another browser that's capable of properly running basic scripts? Or is it just completely impossible to use the upload bookmarklet (or any other bookmarklet) on an Android?
