Normally we try to keep the superhero identity separate from the civilian identity. Otherwise there's no easy way to search for one without the other.
I was going to suggest implying Spider-man (Miles Morales) to Spider-Man, but it looks like that tag is for Peter Parker Spider-Man, and the whole Spider-Man lore is so complicated with so many different Spider-Man variants I don't know what to do.

Less 'Peter Parker Spider-Man' and more 'original red-suit Spider Man', since otherwise Yamashiro Takuya from the toku series wouldn't count despite basically having the same suit in the show.
I imagine that a solution to this would probably come hand-in-hand with a solution for topic #32808.
That was my original plan, but I came to the same realization.
Perhaps renaming Spider-Man to Spider-Man_(Peter_Parker), then making a new Spider-Man tag to imply all Spider-Men with. Same with Spider-Woman and Jessica_Drew. Unsure what to do with Spider-Girl. This may require some extensive tag gardening though after the fact.

Yamashiro Takuya got a new costume in the comics during the event called spider-verse versus venomverse
I think it's been posted here I believe

mass update favgroup:52188 -> char:spider-man_(red_suit)
create implication spider-man_(red_suit) -> spider-man
mass update favgroup:52189 -> char:spider-man_(black_suit)
create alias spider-man_(symbiote) -> spider-man_(black_suit)
create implication spider-man_(black_suit) -> spider-man
So, if we want to reach the point of using the Spider-Man tag as a parent tag for all Spider-Man-derived designs, like Spider-Man (Miles Morales) and Spider-Man (2099), we need to make it possible to search for the original red and blue suit, and for the black suit. If we wanted to say "no, we shouldn't do that, it should just be for Peter" well, it's already too late, Spider-Man (Spider-Oni), a skin from Marvel Rivals that radically changes Spider-Man's appearance, was approved in forum #404961, and even acknowleding that Rivals' Spider-Man is Peter, Peter himself had multiple suits, including the Iron Spider Armor among others.
For each favgroup, I went with the broadest possible definition for the Red and Black suits that tries to avoid including other suits, both to account for things like character pins and adapted costumes, and also to make it easier to later garden Spider-Man variants. "Red suit" and "Black suit" are kind of vague (the latter especially given Miles' suit), and should ideally be "Original" and "Black original", but... I saw a lot of ungardened posts and it just makes sense to have it like this right now. Why "Symbiote" isn't the main name is because Peter himself has used non-symbiote black suits since getting the symbiote off him.
If you search spider-man -favgroup:52188, spider-man -favgroup:52189, and spider-man -favgroup:52188 -favgroup:52189 you'll see why this is ultimately necessary, particularly with posts that have tons of Spider-Man designs in them.
Sounds incredibly solid. Good work!
spiderman (red suit) for the original suit is like having a tag called hatsune miku (blue hair) for a specific Miku design. There's a million different spider-man suits and they're all mostly red. Look at post #8806400 for example.
If we want a tag for the original suit, the name should reflect that.

Well, I can't update the BUR now, so that'd have to be changed in a follow-up BUR.

mass update favgroup:52188 -> char:spider-man_(original_suit)
create implication spider-man_(original_suit) -> spider-man

create alias spider-man_(symbiote_suit) -> spider-man_(original_black_suit)

Requested.
