Phew, thank goodness for that. Now that we got an umbrella tag, we can finally continue discussion on concepts found across both games.
I'll start it by pointing at the depiction of the SOUL found in both. I believe it is pretty worth tagging, though in the meantime someone made a tag for the main SOUL in Deltarune, called Soul (Deltarune). Considering that SOUL is what is treated as the player character, I can't say there's anything particularly strange or surprising about that. As we waited, that tag probably saved quite a few searches.
I mention this in order to gauge potential overlap it'd have with a potential soul (utdr) tag as we were discussing. I personally think it'd be a non-issue and both tags can co-existence with no issue, but better to be safe than sorry I guess.

If memory serves me well, so far the other colored Undertale souls have not appeared in Deltarune. I think the issue here is what we actually want Soul (Deltarune) to be - is it just for every instance of the Red Soul in Deltarune, or is it specifically for the Soul as a distinct character, ala post #9449182, post #9489722, post #9470135, et al? Technically speaking, it's always been the latter, but Deltarune has specifically made it a main story element, whilst Undertale only reveals it at the end.
Since all the Souls are visually alike except for color, there is a logic to having an umbrella tag, particularly if someone does fanart of a soul with a color not seen in the games. On the other hand, each soul is literally a different character, with the Red Soul being the player, so that'd go against it.

I mean, Kris is part of the Dreemurr family, but he's only ever called Kris in Deltarune. Noelle's far more closely associated with her family in contrast.

Alright, then let's do this then. I don't feel like going through Soul (Deltarune) to propose a -favgroup mass update, or conversely going through Undertale for a favgroup, to kickstart Red Soul (UTDR), but mass updating the DR Soul tag alongside implications should get us going.
Actually, this made me realize - do we also make a tag for White Soul (UTDR) for monster souls (ex. post #9393915) and imply that to Soul (UTDR)?

How about Monster Soul (UTDR) for those? If we're gonna make tags for all soul variants, I don't see why we shouldn't do the same for monster souls.
