For post #11458735, you could try appealing it first and mention that you got 1upped by a contributor in the appeal reason. There are approvers that are willing to help out with members' and builders' posts that get deleted and are posted before a contributor's, provided the post looks good enough as well. It's fine, it's just not something I would approve.
Can you actually explain why they look "shit" besides "the approvers pick what they pick" beyond it being a random whim, or is that literally it and all you care to explain?
Approval is and will remain subjective. Approvers are broadly chosen because they are good at this, and in a vast majority of instances posts are just "kinda shit" in general. It's why many posts here get ignored to some degree, because it's not productive to keep repeating this point. You won't get your detailed explanation for "the process" because it is just whatever our dozens of approvers deem good or not, which works better than trying to apply subjective standards.

If that is how it is, then why should I care for an approver's choosing to not approve something that simply doesn't appeal to them and they give the reason "it's shit" with the actual reason being not what they stated, especially when they approve other images that would by their own standards be "shit" but they go ahead and approve it because of their personal biases? Why should users care to upload anything to this website and hope to get anywhere when it completely boils down to luck and the most reliable way nowadays seems to be to get anything higher than a basic user is to wait for a raffle? Maybe you don't have to answer that given what your previous response is, and as someone else here said, feedback is wholly optional after all. Still, I appreciate your response on some level - now I know that it is completely arbitrary what we do on this site regardless of what anyone says actually happens and just hope you're in the fancy to humor the users on this site.
I'm wondering why these posts haven't been approved. The two above are variant sets added to existing posts and the other one is new, but most images from the same source are approved, but only these are not.
You told me as much earlier that these would be flagged for deletion (by you, perhaps, as you are the only one whose attention I brought this to) for looking "pretty bad" and to understand why every other image uploaded by this artist does not seem to pass, and I would like something in-depth and concrete consistent with the actual approval process of this site for why that is the case for starters if you can manage that.
A lot of them have very lackluster shading, I wouldn't approve most of this artists work. He also tends to truncate or twist the spine unnaturally to show off the butt. Some examples are post #10648751, post #10199630, and post #11016590. Some of them make it look like the front and back halves of the body aren't even connected.

Well, I appreciate the feedback and am honestly surprised I got any feedback, but given these errors you spoke of, what about these approved images? If they were to be reevaluated, would they be allowed to remain on the site if anatomy is the issue of the former, or are the issues simply too negligible to count against them?

I would say any and all errors those have are way less pronounced than the ones made by the other artist. I also think all have much better coloring/shading/perspective overall even if I wouldn't approve all of them myself.
If you come across art that you think is bad then flag it, if you come across deleted art you think is good appeal it. There are multiple approvers who have a range of tastes and opinions. You aren't going to get a universal set of standards since art is inherently a subjective field.

I see. I will leave it off with just one last question, just one more if you see fit to respond back and I will leave this matter to rest for good as my very last post on this form thread: on the off chance that any of the images I brought to your attention of the artist DEADMANNARTS was approved by one or more approvers despite their apparent flaws, would that in itself acceptable for this site given its subjectivity to what it will allow?

It would be acceptable in the sense that it's how the site works; any art can become active if just a single approver thinks it's good enough to be active. However, in the same sense if I came across post #11016590 and it was active while browsing I would flag it since I consider it well below the sites standards for quality.

So there is some actual hardline standard all images are expected to meet across all approvers and staff after all even under an ostensible subjective framing. That's all I needed to hear, and this is the last I will visit this forum thread.

You're misinterpreting what's being said. The "site standards" are the sum of all the approver's subjective tastes. It's why you get sentences like "well below", because at that point it's obvious. It's basically impossible for something to be slightly below standards because the lines are so fuzzy.

For the record I did not flag them, nor did I say I would, but this is a public forum where anyone can see the things you post as quality comparisons which can dredge up old, mediocre posts that otherwise flew under the radar. The problem that often arises in this thread is someone demands a single reason why an image is not approvable when there is no single reason; it's just an amalgamation of mediocre aspects that make a mediocre image.
To whom it may concern, Regarding post #11514995 (which still got a day or so left until it expires) is it due to the fact that it's out of proportion. Or is it due to the characters not being inherently popular? Regards.
These are good and well drawn imo so i don't know why they weren't approved.
btw, I uploaded 16 images for the artist Nulzart and only literally only one of them was approved. I understand their artstyle is quite simple but its so simple its inoffensive :p. It made me go down to a max of 10 posts which is kinda sad and demotivates me to upload images in quick succession (especially for newer artists). Regardless would be nice if these posts (and maybe even my other deleted ones which arent much) could be given another look.
While these 3 uploads are still in the pending and waiting for approval state,I do find that in recent days,if I upload posts in the morning, chances are that they would got approved much slower than those uploaded at night. Is it because of different Time Zone ? (I live in Taiwan.)
