Paizuri

This was brought up a few times in the dumpster fire of the OnK thread, so here. Now as a good Christian Woman I personally don't use this tag so others are free to chime in, but I believe it was stated most other imageboards use titfuck instead of paizuri.

BUR #43036 has been rejected.

for consistency should BUR #43035 pass.

I agree with changing the tag name, as the use of obscure Japanese terms for tags when there's an English alternative doesn't seem rational on an English-speaking site. That said, I'm not sure about titfuck as a new name because it seems overly crude, although I can't think of a flawless alternative. For example, boobjob sounds more natural to me, and matches our many other *job tags, but I understand it's technically ambiguous with breast enlargement.

here's a rundown of usage by website, similarly to forum #350595. links are nsfw of course due to the nature of the topic.

• AniDB: not going to sign up to see the page, but typing in the search bar reveals an entry for mammary intercourse with (paizuri) as a secondary name.

I'm not an active browser of this tag, but the one for the concept I'm aware of is "titjob" or "boobjob". Those would be what I suggest if we're to change this tag (which I don't really care about the outcome of, but eh, might as well say something if I have something).

(...Okay, that's not entirely true. Please don't change it to "mammary intercourse". That sounds so fucking horrendous.)

while i like "boobjob" because it sounds less crude, the thing i'm worried about is the chance that it may be confused for the medical procedure as noted above.

Looks like that one April Fool's joke where all tags on Danbooru were renamed has become a grim reality in 2025. What's next? Aliasing 4koma into 4panel?

Translation notes for paizuri will make less sense that way. Titfuck and boobjob currently have a little use by translators. In comparison, trap and otoko_no_ko are used almost equally.
Not to mention that this way we continue to 'increase' the diversity of sexual tagging. Remember, kids: vaginal (sex is omitted), but thigh_sex (isn't sex), but footjob (another day, another dollar), but crotch_rub (that is exclusive for rubbing against objects... I said rubbing my nose), but titfuck (new word formation in tag group:sex acts!).
Personally, I think paizuri should be left as is because it's a slang term (even for japanese people) and it's not something as obvious as titfuck. It sounds more formal just like fellatio.

I would oppose that since it would further the confusion that the *koma tags are literally just for how many panels are in a comic page, when that's not what they are at all.

I agree with most of the previous posts, we already have people complaining that cum and pussy are crude names for tags (compared to penis), this would be on a whole other level.

I like the status quo because it complements naizuri which doesn't have any aliases or good english term that isn't a mouthful. Additionally both titjob and titfuck alias to paizuri already but that's not true of the sub-tags.

I don't think it should be changed but "titjob" would be the preferable English slang alternative in my opinion

I think calling paizuri "obscure" is a bit of a stretch, and it feels like this is paving the way for removing all japanese tagnames because of "obscurity".

my justification is that i believe we should use english terms whenever a roughly equivalent, reasonable option exists, not because of obscurity but rather familiarity though looking at the bur votes this seems to be an exceedingly unpopular opinion. it makes little sense to me that we insist on keeping a japanese term as the tag name when several decent analogues exist, we don't call breasts "oppai".

The main site focus is still Japanese media though. We also don't use English names for series even if official ones exist. It'll definitely change on a case-by-case basis, but in general quite a lot of Japanese words have become commonly used in English conversations in this specific Japan-oriented space.

fair, though part of the point i intended to illustrate with my rundown in forum #363487 was that while we're not the odd one out in using a japanese name currently, we wouldn't be alone in deciding to use an english name either, even among sites that primarily focus on japanese media (see how vndb and anilist both use the term boobjob).

It's just one man's opinion, but I feel like paizuri has basically entered the English speaking lexicon, at least as far as online art spaces like this are concerned. I can't speak a word of Japanese (konichiwa?) but I know what paizuri means, whereas I'd never even seen - let alone understood - otokonoko before visiting this website. I don't think they're really comparable.
I think if we're going to try and have all the tags in English, that should be a larger discussion that is upstream of any potential translation of tags just for the sake of them being in English, rather than for the sake of usability.

"titjob" is better than "titfuck"

This is roughly my opinion as well. It's hardly an obscure term these days and has spread further than weeb circles. That and it compliments naizuri.

Aliasing naizuri to "nojob" would be pretty funny.
