    Hang in There, Kogasa-san #3917

Another friend told me one step every 2-3 seconds is a good pace. They told me it was better not to walk briskly. Well, that pace would be too much for me! :-)

Reader-added tags for now are "The fastest one in the world" and "Everyone is different, and that's all right." (Apparently a line from the poem "The Little Birds, the Bells, and I" (わたしと小鳥とすずと) by Kaneko Misuzu.)

You think a guy with enough lungs for 16-hour karaoke who can keep going after that wouldn't let a hike stop him.

They HAVE made several mentions of the potential for altitude sickness due to reduced oxygen levels. He's not going to be engaging in any karaoke endurance at those elevations, even after a rest.

I'd be surprised if he didn't even try, that karaoke-obake.

    This is...

    some pretty rough going...

The ironclad rule for climbing Mt. Fuji is not to push yourself too hard.
Take a break as soon as you get out of breath.
If you rush, there's high risks of injury and altitude sickness.
Go slow and steady, one step at a time.
    Just maintain your own pace.
    Wait—so fast!?
    Well, this is my pace.
