    In fact, there's no such name as a "Hole in One Party", but there apparently is a custom of holding such celebrations, so I drew it with that feeling in mind. So I wondered, does this mean that players who get a normal hole in one aren't celebrated? Then it felt like it didn't make sense. (^^;) I'm wondering whether this is a custom only in Japan.

    And so, I finally reach my 1000th strip. At first, I thought I'd run out of material after about 200 strips, but it sure went unexpectedly well. :-) It's all thanks to all of you who have been so kind as to read it. Oh, and to my victim-esque friends who've been used as joke material, too!

    Anyway, I want to keep on hanging in there from now on, too, so please treat me well, everyone!

    There's definitely a tradition of buying a round of drinks for everyone in the clubhouse after scoring a hole in one in North America. The "insurance" for that isn't real insurance. It's a pool of money that members chip into that will help cover the cost.
