I like how they updated the raptor's design according to the newest discoveries about dinosaurs having feathers.

Sure, if you consider 2007 as "newest discoveries", not to mention theropods have been theorized to have feathers ever since the 90s.

Velociraptors been known to have feathers for almost two decades, not sure if that still counts as "newest".

Blame Jurassic Park introducing Raptors to generations of children who in turn believed them to be super badass monsters o' doom.

Can't help it, fanged turkeys doesn't sell movie tickets, especially not to kids.

I'd say Attack on Titanosaur, the suborder of sauropods known to be the heaviest of all dinosaurs. But the idea of sauropods terrorizing humankind(raptorkind?) just doesn't seem intimidating.

Eagles have feathers, but I don't see people bitching about how silly that is.

Are you making a blockbuster movie about killer (regular sized, mind you)eagles eating people? I thought so.

It's like if you're going to adapt the Hobbit, and you choose to go with the 'classic' design of the 70s animated version where he had a cat head. How would you think that would work out?

Even in Jurassic park, the Velociraptors were much larger than in reality; They were more like Utahraptors than actual Velociraptors. So I mean, if we tripled the eagles' size and made them hunt in packs, tearing people apart...

Now you're just being pointlessly mean. Did I touch a nerve or something?
