  • 結局わかんなくてマニュアル読みました。
    座席の横の床だったのね(^^;)

    さんざん走ったのに6リットルしか消費してなくてびっくりしました。

With me not knowing where it was, I looked at the manual in the end.
It was on the floor, next to the seat. (^^;)

Even though I drove quite a lot, I was surprised it only used up about 6 liters of fuel!

...Yeah. Anyone who's driven a car gets to experience that at least once in their life.

We know that feel, Kogasa-san. ;w;)/

Reader-added tags include: "The questionnaire gets more dangerous as you go down", "Happens a lot" and "OPEN!"

The poll asks how well we do on the road:

    How good are you?
    • Try to refuel by popping the hood.
    • Accidentally step on the accelerator while in neutral.
    • Step on the accelerator, even though the handbrake's engaged.
    • Left the lights on, running the battery dry.
    • Mixed up gasoline and diesel by mistake.

Not actually a regular driver, but I have made the mistake of refuelling a turbine-powered RC jet with cooking oil.
Damn turbines, the pulse jet powered one worked perfectly with unrefined cooking oil.

I haven't used the accelerator in Neutral, but once or twice I have briefly confused Drive and Reverse. Very briefly. Like, not long enough to actually hit anything. Still pretty scary, though.

I think the Griswalds can understand Kogasa's plight

I'm still learning to drive so the start up procedure is really mind boggling.

Just got a new car recently. The fuel cap is on the opposite side of the car of my old one. Yea, you can guess what kind of a problem that causes.

None of the above really, but what'll get me is that the button to pop the fuel door and the boot are both on the dash to the left right where I just happen to brush my knee by when I get in. Been more then a couple times I start the car up and get warned that I've got the boot open.

Being the pump/station attendant at my local place, customers usually opened the boot instead of the fuel door since the switches for both is right next to each other under the seat.

As driving a standard transmission I have to say that the second choice happens sometimes for me. Especially when I am tired and have been driving for a while and I get into traffic. I dont know if it happens with automatic drivers as well.

Back in college, I left the dome light on in my 94 Geo Metro. Fortunately, it was a manual transmission so I just push-started it myself. The poor thing was driven to Hell and back before I got it(driver window didn't work, outside driver door handle didn't work which necessitated a bypass with a hole in the door and a string connected to the door mechanism, half of the center console plastic was just GONE, and the stereo was held in place by wire hanger wire) but it was still a great car that never gave me any mechanical problems.

I'm on my 3rd vehicle now(a 99 Chevy S-10) but like they say, "You never forget your first."
