When the alternative is DFAC "food," the restaurants on base win. Especially when you're on lunch break and don't have time to get food off-post.

I'll take all of those, as a sandwich, with cheese and ketchup!

I personally prefer roast beef but I've heard that American bacon is different from British bacon - so that.

Roast beef is one of the few things I am still allowed to eat as much as I like.
Bacon and french fries are forbidden.
Omelets are OK but I can't put much of anything in it.
I am only allowed white bread, most other types of bread are forbidden.

Also, as a side point, having "American" flavor tend to be simple flavor has always seemed like a compliment, even if it is very clearly rarely intended to be one.
