  • Trigger Report: Production Report

INOU-Battle has finally started! Yes, this is Trigger’s first light novel adaptation! What is this series about? Well, I’m sure we all went through a phase where we imagined that we had some sort of special power and were fascinated about pretending to be the chosen one. Most people grow out of this stage by their middle school years. However, some people have issues growing out of this phase. Our main character just happens to be that case. We call this problem the Chuuni Syndrome. The story is about Jurai Ando, a high school student who happens to be gifted with a special power that turns his fascination into reality. So what does he do with his power? Adventure? Fight evil? Nah, he just lives an ordinary life with his fellow schoolmates.
The other day, I was doing some research to better prepare myself for INOU-Battle’s production. Luckily, I just happen to come across a high school girl on the train that day. I secretly took a peek into her bag and was shocked that all she was carrying was a single iPad. I guess a great deal has changed from the time I was a high school student. Even if the times and the tools for learning change, I believe that everyone can relate to campus life, romance, and of course Chuuni Syndrome! I hope this series will make you reconsider your take on Chuuni Syndrome. Let “The beginning of the end” begin!
