    That way of using it

    Every once in a while, I feel like drawing the admiral really cool.

    But I just can't do it.

    But man, it seems like even if you didn't move, it'd be a real gas, but nothing noble about it.

    You could also use, perhaps, 'gut feeling' to try to associate it with the body - replace the pun with a different one.

    That was a good idea, and I think I thought up a way to use both elements of the pun while maintaining the gravity of the situation.
