You're supposed to angle the umbrella so the dome faces into the wind, not the reverse... Unless nobody taught Muppo that.

This is why raincoats are better, especially in situations where the wind an rain is just too much for and umbrella.

Although, knowing Muppo, it might just as well backfire on her.

I tried doing that and it just made my umbrella collapse in on itself... Japanese wind too stronk

But if the wind are strong enough to make the rain hit you from the front, then why would you need an umbrella that cover your back.

And, CMIIW, there's a case where umbrella maker are sued for umbrella that failed to flip in strong wind and ends up dragging and injuring her.
