    コンセントの問題をすっかり忘れておりましたとさ。
    部屋自体はピカピカに掃除されててきれいでした。
    トイレ兼シャワールームのドアノブがなかったり、かわりの鍵がかからなかったりしましたが!(笑)

    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 2072

I totally forgot there'd be a problem with the wall outlets.

The room itself had been cleaned 'til it sparkled and was very nice. There was no doorknob or replacement locking method on the toilet/shower room! :-)

Reader-added tags include "I screwed up", "Yamame Virus", and "_❚_".

The survey might suggest stompin' at the Savoy:

Where do you want to try staying?
    • Japanese-style inn
    • Western-style hotel
    • Ice hotel
    • Treetops
    • A room that's just a bed in a field

    I'm very fond of #1.

And Kogasa-san needs to go to Sham Shui Po to get an adapter, looks like.

Love that district. I got myself some good bargains for computer and electronic related stuff over there.

I love the area myself, when I'm able to go there. I've spent quite a bit of time in the older districts, especially looking for those odd little places with hidden treasures of tech.

Ah, differently configured power sockets. The most common and biggest dilemma of travelling abroad in the modern day...

Every time it counts, bathroom locks never work. Nature trail rest area? Fast food, nice restaurant, your friends' backyard barbeque? There's always a working lock until it becomes an emergency, and suddenly Jill the Master of Picking Locks has just Jacked with everything.

I guess he must have figured something out on the power if these are still somewhat "live"...

They literally sell adapters at 711 in Hong Kong that work fine, I know this because I needed an adapter the last time I was in Hong Kong and couldn't find mine. Incidentally I also drank too much and vomited not long afterward, but that's beside the point.

For the record Hong Kong uses the same style of power outlet as the UK.

    It's even got amenities!!
    Forgotten Item
    Hong Kong's electrical sockets.
Hong Kong uses 220V, so I guess I can use this.
    Oh...crap!!
    In the hotel room...
    It totally slipped my mind...
    Oooh, much cleaner than expected!
Guess I'll recharge my PC while I'm at it.
