    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 2103

The fact is, no matter which manufacturer you check, all they'll write for the price is that it's negotiable. I wish they'd just list the approximate prices. (^^;) But as far as I know, there's no price more expensive than the laser printer that I could cheerfully pay, so this is how it felt.

I don't have the option of not using the laser processor I put in so much effort to buy!

Ever smelled burning plastic? Yeah, stinks the place up real quick. That's why you need a workshop for that kind of thing with plenty of ventilation. And it's not just the smell, too - the plastic fume's the real killer.

Reader-added tags include "Mechanic Kogasa-san", "If you don't have it, why not build it?", and "Can you do it?" (a brand name of slider puzzles for children).

The survey wonders what to make of the situation:

What to do at times like this?
    • Do your best with the ventilation
    • Buy a deodorizer
    • Rent and move to a workshop deep in the mountains
    • Bear with it
    • Give up on manufacturing

Yeah, even when cutting acrylic with saws, it'll burn and melt a little bit. It's both annoying AND stinky!

This is pretty much me when I need anything. Why buy it? Just build it yourself. As for fumes, all you need is a desktop fan (or stronger depending on application) and some plastic sheets used as ground cloth for painters and you can make a simple fume hood leading out your window. I do this when casting lead for bullets and soldering electronics indoors.

Heh, now I'm imagining you melting toy soldiers in a spoon over a fire.

Unfortunately I never had that now-vintage toy. My parents child-proofed every aspect of my life... if only they knew all the shit I would encounter and get myself into later in adult life. kek. Definitely did not approve of investigating and mingling among the riffraff of society as a career.

That odor just has to be bad for you!!
She's now enraptured with manufacturing all sorts of stuff.

Cutting acrylic raises a nasty stench.
    Hah!?
And that's why I've decided to build one.
    ¥300,000
    Vvrrr
Guess I'll have to buy a deodorizer...
    But they're super-expensive...
Previously, Kogasa-san had bought a laser processor.
