What makes it extra sad is that what Katori images exist on Danbooru are about 1/3rd being really just other characters cosplaying in her clothes, and another 1/2 are of Katori performing BDSM stuff. (I suppose since most artists are S, she manages to have a large number of images with her S an M in spite of memetically being an S just because of carrying a pointer that looks like a riding crop.)

I know I just said this with the Agano class last image, but I can't see why Katori or Kashima aren't more popular for non-H doujin. I mean, half the cast are dressed like schoolgirls, they frequently portray shipgirls going to school in some fashion while also in the military, and they're the only explicit teachers in the series, so it should be a natural fit, right?

When aliens arrive, searching and seeing the difference in Katori and Kashima pics will be the last straw that makes them decide to wipe us out.

And yet when they needed to do a classroom scene in the TV show, the teacher they went with was Ashigara. :/

Katori was implemented after the anime was drawn (but not released).
