    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 2269

These cherry tomatoes were the first thing we grew in our garden. We were going to grow veggies at first, but these seemed simple, so we switched over.

Since we didn't know any better, we raised about six plants, and since we don't know any better, we didn't do any pruning.

And thus, our garden became a jungle. :-)

Fried eggs with fresh cherry tomatoes directly from the plant is a delicacy. Try it.

Reader-added tags include "I've been there", "Nothing miniature about the amount", and "Enough of a crop to approve even a food-fight fest".

    The survey plants dangerous ideas:

We planted a cherry tomato plant in our backyard several years ago. Damn thing outgrew everything else like a weed. Also managed to grow an eggplant completely by accident in the compost pile.

    Whole? Sliced? Halved? Crushed?

I just pop them into my mouth right from the plant on their own with just a quick rinse. Doesn't need anything else when you grow them yourself with a lot of sun and water.

Whole, if they're small enough, otherwise halved.

I do that as well. We had some really, really tiny tomatoes last year, not much bigger than peas, but man, they were super delicious to eat as snacks directly from the plant. They had a really intense and super fine taste.

I've been here. If you have a crop that grows REALLY well when it comes time to harvest you end up with more than you could possibly use. Then you either give it to neighbors or learn how to can (or some other form of preservation). I had this with pumpkins and ended up freezing the prepared innards.

I had a bumper crop a few years back. I get a lot of sun (and in summer, it can go for about 16 hours) due to being higher up. Mine ranged from large grapes to huge strawberries in size, so they were much more intense than the usual store bought fare.

Sharing or pickling them are the best with cherry tomatoes, IMO. Kogasa-san didn't know what he was getting into with yesterday's pumpkins, but should've realized it would happen with the cherry tomatoes.

Despite their appearance, tomatoes actually ARE veggies...

    Botanically speaking, tomatoes are fruits.

Correct, and not just in that field, by definition if it has seeds, it's a fruit. Like avocados, cucumbers, or corn.

Grilled tomatoes with cracked black pepper is the best. Or chop them up and make a tomato bisque soup.

Then everyone ate the meal with fried eggs and fresh cherry tomatoes that came with it.

Then a shitposter reposted the dish and made some reforms like:

    Replacing the tomatoes with bacon,
    and,
Making the meal more traditional, which is a meal that replaces tomatoes with bacon.

    "Hi Astrojensen," said the shitposter.
    "Hi faggot," said Astrojensen

    I picked more today!
    Go on, Eat up
We sure harvested a lot of cherry tomatoes!
If you don't hurry up and eat them, I'll pick even more!
    Ooh!
Cherry tomatoes are expensive right now, so this is a big help!♡
    One week later...
Isn't it tough having this much every day?
