The Twitter version in this case was actually a larger image size, which was probably why it was uploaded in the first place, and made the parent.

The only thing larger about the Twitter image is the actual file size; the dimensions are exactly the same, and I don't see any change in image quality, so that implies the image had been compressed further without detracting from the quality.
