Oh my god, I can only imagine the amount of bullshit, blood and limbs that will fall if another future arc of war and/or abyssals comes with a seasoning of government secrets and super bad guys where the only good guys are this ass-faced admiral and his obnoxious unnecessarily-sadistic friend (maybe with one or another high-ranked guy). On the most personal desire, I hope this guy doesn't even draw Haruna again (futile desire), my heart can't take another image of her being hurt that way to later being forgotten completely like almost all the series.

That was never going to happen. The setting itself precludes it due to A) The cold, machinelike or wild, animalistic nature abyssals have been presented as within and B) the hostile nature of the higher ups, who would almost certainly bomb the shit out of this base if such a thing became obvious.

If she's a shipgirl now, what's her class and capabilities?
The closest Ruriko herself can be is Hayasui since that's an aux ship and its also responsible for field stuff, but as a Re, its probably safe to say that she'll be a short haired battleship with leaning to Hyuuga and Mutsu or even Yamashiro (that.... would pretty much be a counter to Ruriko's personality if she has that battleship's module).
There's also Akitsu Maru which is originally army and became Navy like Reiji n all but it kinda contradicts Ruriko's battleship template and this is saying that an aux ship will also be contradicting her template.
... either way she goes shipgirl, she'll probably: - dominate the shit out of Kaga in melee - give Nagato a second chill in her back - free-for-all with Shigure, Hibiki, Sendai, Shiranui and Yuudachi and WIN - vividly experience the lulz of the base, starting from Kongou curry
Yeah, she's clearly changing out of her abyssal form, and Akashi keeps repeating how she's "just like a shipgirl", so why the adamant assumption that she's absolutely 100% abyssal instead of turning at least partly into a shipgirl? (Other than the apparent future DRAMA that may come from a Hayase convinced she doesn't belong here because "she's one of the enemy"...)

Because there's nothing in this story that indicated the possibility of abyssals turning into shipgirls so far. There's nothing to base the assumption that she's changing into a shipgirl on.
Generally, there's little info available on abyssals anyway so damn near everything about them's a friggin mystery. They're only starting to uncover what's in the dark.

They didn't dismiss it. Nobody went and stated "abyssals can't turn into shipgirls". Rather, I'd say they just haven't thought of the possibility, thus it's going unsaid until someone goes "hang on a squig".

Same here. I think we should drop the Re-class tag since we know know who she is and she had a tag of her own. Besides this isn't her "abssyal" self
