    6. Nui-Nui
    Verniy's name is pronounced "buerunui" in Japanese because of the limitations in how Japanese pronounces vowels and consonants, so it could be shortened to "Nui" off of the back end. The two "Nui"s are differentiated by being in katakana (for a foreign word) as opposed to Shiranui's hiragana (for a Japanese word). See this post for the same joke given more context.

    Actually, I think it's just that Cyrilkhan and I both translated it with one not realizing the other had done translations, and then two people deleted the duplicate notes. When I looked back, and saw both "mewing" notes were deleted, I put one set back.

    There was still one set remaining when I left, I swear. :-) I even refreshed the page to make sure that a note I'd moved out of the way but hadn't otherwise touched would still be back in place.
