And even if they were/are, in Silent Hill, it’s a case of “we aren’t trapped in here with you, you’re trapped in here with us.”

Probably not as bad as the time the monsters got stuck in there with Miss Poi.

Wasn't Silent Hill on the east coast? This is alongside the desert, so there has to be at least one hill across the states.

I noticed the "Hill" and "Silent Way" on the sign, but it might just be a coincidence. The cacti and tumbleweeds point to something midwest/southwest. Also the title is "Tekisasu Cheengan" -> "Texas Chaingang". My understanding is that Silent Hill is based, in part, on Centralia, Pennsylvania

Edit: the plane looks like it could be a Consolidated PBY Catalina, but I'm not sure.

I like the idea that Fletcher was specifically released to lead find them

My only problem with this picture is that Saguaro cacti don't grow in Texas.
