The one I read didn’t show any car hitting him or anything. It was implied yeah, after he saved the chick, nothing was shown. I assumed he just... vanished. That there wasn’t any real cause for his death but just his existence was gone, like a flicker of a candle and that made it felt more... sad since it wasn’t due to anything nor anybody. Just life, existence, gone.

What a shame.
