So... Can someone explain to me WTH is this "Air Comike" supposed to be? I'm assuming from the name that it's an attempt at a safe substitute for this year's Comiket, which IIRC has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19, but other than that, I have no idea.

It's "air" like an "air guitar", though I guess "Virtual Comiket" might be more in line with Western English terminology. Except instead of offering physical items for sale, a lot of artists are offering stuff to the general public for free.

... Their fans had better buy a shit ton of these artists' merch to thank them for this. I don't want those artists to effectively bankrupt themselves out of the industry just because they wanted to do good by all the fans that wanted to go the cancelled Comiket.
