It's really interesting how Osanai's hair color kind of swings between blonde and green, depending on the lighting. I wonder if/how she dies her hair to get it that way.

Don't all the girls have to be dyeing their hair? Or, well, maybe Kinjyou isn't, but I thought that was essential to the whole Gyaru look.

I remember reading something once a long time ago about why anime hair is always colored. There was a theory about how green and pink hairs were supposed to be exaggerated representations of blondes, while blues and purples where exaggerated dark hairs, and gray is exaggerated brown hair. The idea itself probably doesn't hold any water, but seeing this character's images really does show how pleasing green-blonde actually is. I can see the connection.

I'd like to see this kind of coloring style used more often as opposed to just using pure candy colors normally seen in anime.

The blue/purple thing was more about avoiding the head to simply melt on the background, same with gray. No clue about the green/pink ones.
