    Pokemon Injury & Disease Reference

Usually I love to draw pokemon looking happy and healthy, but they're living things, so they must get hurt or sick sometimes, right? I tried to visualize what that might look like in these pictures.
The next four are examples of Premature Evolution.

←In addition to the horn being on the opposite side, this Absol's internal organs are also mirrored compared to a typical specimen's.
    Inverse Development
    Premature Evolution
    Incomplete Forme Change
    Ice Control Deficiency
Treatment: Trainers of pre-natally evolved pokemon should consult specialists regularly. Their diet should provide the same level of nutrition as if they had evolved normally.
Symptoms: Some pokemon partially evolve into their next form far earlier than usual. In rare cases, they may even start evolving while still in the egg/womb.
↗Milotic evolved before hatching. Height: 90cm
→Underdeveloped Mightyena - evolved while still juvenile
↗In Unown's case, this condition is only visible to the naked eye for asymmetric forms.
↗Pom-Pom style Oricorio with Pa'u style characteristics
→Aerodactyl with Mega Aerodactyl characteristics. Partial mega evolutions like these can be classified as an extension of Incomplete Forme Changes.
↑Air bubbles in icy body parts can become holes once they reach the surface.
Symptoms: Pokemon with icy bodies may develop air bubbles or cloudiness in their ice.
Treatment: In many Ice types, this may be indicative of other underlying health problems. The root cause should be investigated and treated before complications arise.
Notes: Damage from high temperatures or heat sources only occurs in rare cases. Lowering the room temperature is unlikely to make a difference.
→Fusion of ice particles resulting in a smaller horn.
Symptoms: Congenital condition in which a pokemon's features (both external and internal) develop on the opposite side as normal.
Treatment: Can be raised the same as any other pokemon, but should have regular check-ups.
Notes: By its nature, this condition is easier to observe in pokemon with asymmetric bodies. It is more common than may be expected, but often goes undetected.
Treatment: More likely to occur if a pokemon is forced to change forme repeatedly during a short period of time.
Symptoms: Pokemon exhibit characteristics from a previous forme due to not fully completing their transformation.
Notes: Trainers should avoid making pokemon change forme again to try to solve the problem. Seek help from a specialist as soon as you notice the symptoms.
