Not a firearm expert, but depending on the firearm in question (the specific model like M1911, Glock, whatever) and ammunition used (hollow-point, full metal jacket, etc...) the amount of damage could be comparable to this video.

It depends on the caliber of the bullet. Larger caliber, larger shell, more powder needed to propel it. A Deagle would be able to do this sorta damage, that gun is frankly huge and has huge bullets. and is one of the few high caliber handguns that isnt breach loaded or take rifle rounds
The gun is a Glock propably in 9mm Para. A full metal jacket bullet would pierce up to 1mm steel at these distances. A hollow point bullet would cause an exit wound you could put your fist in. So yes.

The caliber is of interest, if you want man stopping power. A heavy large caliber bullet would transfer much of its kinetic energy to the body, throwing it backwards. Good stopping power: .45 ACP, .50 AE, .45 long Colt, .44 Magnum etc. The 9mm Para has not so much stopping power but penetration. You can see, that the girl needs up to four hits to drop the guys ( not the last one with the headshot off cause).
Seeing these comments remind me of what I would do, adding a lot of details unnecessary; To be real here, the amount of blood shown are merely an artistic choice, dramatic feel to it that adds to the depiction of violence, handguns probably wouldn't spray that much blood on impact.
