区内南岸に複数の水棲超獣が打ち上げられた。
どの超獣もすでにこと切れていたが、致命傷となるような外傷はどこにも見当たらなかった。

遺骸が見つかった範囲や数から推定すると特定の海域が丸ごと攻撃を受けたかのような規模だったが、ここ数日の間に当該海域で大規模な爆発や激甚級の出現等は観測されていない。
その後、検死を行った課からの報告によると死因は「溺死」とのことだった。

水棲超獣が溺れるとはいったい何が起こったのか？

魚が溺れたり、鳥が飛べなくなるような異常事態がどこかの海域で起こっているのかもしれない。
区役所は各課から類似の事例がないか情報を収集し、事態の解明に努めることとした。

Multiple aquatic monsters washed up on the south coast of the district.
All of the monsters had already ceased to move, but no fatal injuries were found anywhere.

Based on the range and number of discovered remains, it was estimated that a specific area of the ocean had been attacked, but no large-scale explosions or any higher threat level of entities have been observed in the area over the past few days.
A later report from the department that conducted the autopsy said the cause of death was 「drowning」.

What on earth happened for such a powerful aquatic monster to drown?

An abnormal situation may be occurring somewhere in the ocean, such as fish drowning or birds becoming unable to fly.
