For context: In 2013, Orfevre's jockey Kenichi Ikezoe learned a young boy with cancer was a big fan of Orfevre so Ikezoe invited the boy and his mother to meet him and the horse. Despite Orfevre's temperament attitude, the horse was surprisingly soft to the boy and allow the boy to pet him many times which Ikezoe promise the boy that Orfevre will win his last race at 2013 Arima Kinen. Sadly the boy passed away two weeks before the race.

Nevertheless, Ikezoe and Orfevre kept their promise and won the 2013 Arima Kinen with Ikezoe looking into the sky after the win and saying "we won" to Orfevre's young fan.
