Tsushima Naoto illustrated the manga version of Bistro Recipe (Fighting Foodons) in a kid's magazine called Comic Bonbon. The commentary is almost certainly referencing the scene where Natsume (Coco) gets stuck in a swamp and Zen (Chase) pulls her out. The anime version (Episode 8) is pretty kid-friendly. The manga version...isnot.
That's not the only questionable scene, either. There's also a moment from both the anime and manga where Karin (Kayla) and Pi-tan (Pie Tin) become brainwashed. The manga basically turns Karin into a dominatix. She tortures Ash (Albert) by stepping on him while wearing high heels, chains him up bruised and topless, and even tries to force-feed him with what looks like a spring onion in her mouth as she pushes it between his pecs while groping them. It has to be seen to be believed.

All of these are prime examples of "Getting Crap Pass the Radar" in all it's crazy glory.
