Can’t believe it’s now, after all these years, that I noticed that Gum is blonde. Mostly because I learned about JSR, like most non-Sonic franchises, through the Sega crossover games. For some reason, Gum didn’t catch much of my attention unlike Beat (also probably because back then, my interest in girls was still underdeveloped). Come these past few days, where YouTube rekindled my interest in JSR since like 3 or 4 years ago, it’s when I finally gained appreciation for every Rudie other than Beat. And man, I just noticed how much hidden in plain sight Gum was for me. She’s really cute and cool.
So I went back to Sega Superstars Tennis and Sonic All-Stars Transformed and I think a big reason Gum didn’t attract my attention is because, at least to me, her model in those games, especially the first one, doesn’t really do her justice. Especially her face.
