Enemies in the Same Boat
If opponents who've coincidently run in to each other stop to take in the fleeting beauty of the blossoms, even a mood as tense as a taut bowstring may serve for a tune to ease the animosity of the moment.
"Little enough will change if it simply churns and boils. But, depending on how well it is prepared, it may become a delicacy like fermented salted organs. The same can be said of fate, yeah?"
"Personally, I prefer something sweet. At the very least, I hope the bitterness doesn't overshadow the beauty of this scene."
"God is merciful, but quite mischievous. So it is human nature to be tossed about by His whims, but sometimes it's best to surrender oneself to the flow of things. Is that not also one of life's delights, my friends?"
They swallow a collective, "What the heck are you talking about?" with a giant gulp of alcohol. Instead, the sound of the river water lapping lightly against the ship's hull is the only sound to be heard.
