It was the day in which a Soviet artificial satellite was launched, manned by Major Gagarin, who left behind quotes such as "The Earth was blue" and "There was no God here"!
Not sure if I'm missing the nuance of the word, but more than a satellite, it seems like the right term was "capsule"
Either way, about the quotes: Gagarin has a few known quotes about the colors of the Earth, but I wasn't able to figure out which one the artist was talking about.
