Can get free ESU for another year of updates. Though trying to get that option to pop up reliably is still a mystery, even if you meet the requirements (latest updates on 22H2, admin account, M$ account with sync enabled, etc.). Hopefully they'll fix it soon. Or maybe they're only rolling it out to certain countries/regions first. Really a big headache for me when helping older relatives who couldn't upgrade to Windows 11 because of older computers. (Well, one can bypass the hardware requirement, but the tech community keeps flipping back and forth on whether it's a good idea.) Naturally suggesting Linux is also met with a resounding no, so... *shrug*
Of course it's far easier and RELIABLE to get 3-year 'free' enterprise ESU via 'less-than-licit' means though, instead of trying to grapple with unintuitive Windows. (Am sorely tempted, not gonna lie) Or just spring for IoT Windows 10 LTSC for updates up to 2032, if you're already going down that path.
On that note, for people who're sticking to Win 10 because of bloat/telemetry/privacy concerns, and not because of hardware... Win 11 IoT LTSC works better than Win 10 IoT and has most of the Win11 bloat and telemetry stripped away anyway.
