How I rescued Yuzuki Yukari
“Hey, you. You’ve been doing nothing but sitting on that bench for the past week. Is everything ok?”
“Huh? Ah, it’s Master. They've gone to get some tea. Geez, Master is slow... How far did they go?”
(I don’t think there have been any accidents around here... This girl, I wonder if she was abandoned?)
“Well, you should come to my place and get your battery charged, ok? It’s nearby, and Akari is there too.”
“I can’t do that! When Master returns and they see I’m not here, they'll be very worried!”
“Your master isn’t coming back!”
“Why are you saying something like that!? You don’t know anything about Master!!”
At first, I wondered if I should report this to the police, but I hesitated when I remembered once hearing about how in the worst case scenario, a lost voiceroid may end up being sent to the scrapyard.
In the end, we agreed that if her master still hadn't returned by midnight, she would stay at my place temporarily. While we were waiting, I tried to find the serial number on her bracelet, but it had strangely been scratched off, and I couldn't confirm what it was.
Then, it was 30 minutes until midnight. As expected, her master never returned. No, she was abandoned, so that person is now no longer her master, are they? Yukari was now crying uncontrollably, and it was very difficult bringing her back home.
From then on, Yukari lived with us. It seems like she gets along well with Akari too. However, when she has the time, she looks from the window out to the nearby park, and just stares. Even now, I wonder if she's still waiting for the person that abandoned her...
