A highly trained variant of the stormtrooper in Star Wars. Shadow Troopers utilize experimental cloaking armor, distinguished by it's all-black coloration with an imperial insignia over the left chest.
Shadow Troopers primarily appear in Star Wars Legends video games and supplemental material, with their only post-Disney canon appearance being in DICE's 2015 Battlefront game. The Deathtroopers introduced in Rogue One have since been a semi-replacement for Shadow Troopers in the new canon.
