A key frame with color traces
anime coloring
A 2D rendering technique consisting of hard-edge shading, as opposed to any soft-edge coloring techniques, such as those prominent in painterly styles.
It is the most common technique in 2D anime production.
For the similar technique employed in artworks that are 3D - or that intentionally mimic 3D media - see cel rendering.
