banbi

半臂 半袖

A type of hanfu; a short-sleeved shirt from China.

It can have a variety of collar types, such as a fold-over collar, a square neckline, a round neckline or a mandarin collar.

It is sometimes depicted being worn over a ruqun garment.

  • The term translates roughly to 'half-arm'; it is also known as banxiu (Chinese: 半袖), meaning 'half-sleeves'.
