    plasma-chan (kancolle)

    プラズマちゃん ぷらずまちゃん ぷらずま

A Kantai Collection meme character. A fanmade variation of Inazuma that became meme enough to become a trend among Pixiv artists. She in originated in post #1917287 by Sukima.

She appears generally identical to Inazuma, but often a chibi figure (or deformed in a muscle-bound manner), and classically has a diamond mouth face with eyes that are large solid black circles, upturned eyebrows, shading on her face, and the oddly-shaped mouth twisted into a trolling smirk (see post #1680938). Frequently, she can be made to appear thuggish instead of smirking. Plasma-chan is also a highly violent "dark-side" version of Inazuma, usually threatening people (or eggplants) with weapons or martial arts (see post #1726517). Alternately, simply behaving in a manner deliberately the opposite of the "pure and innocent" normal Inazuma (see post #1703511).

Plasma-chan was, in the Twitter images that originated her meme, violently opposed to an artist named Nasu (Japanese for "eggplant") and featured the solid circle eyes and diamond mouth face as her salient traits in the series. Some references to Plasma-chan just have her head and a "nasu" speech bubble.

Inazuma's name means "lightning" in Japanese, so she becomes "plasma" as her dark side.

Inazuma's catchphrase "nanodesu" (なのです) may be just slightly altered into "な゛の゛て゛す! (nano-DEATH!)" instead (alternately, "なの-DEATH!").
