robot (invincible)

Rudolph "Rudy" Conners, better known under his alias Robot, is a superhero-turned-anti-hero/anti-villain from the comic and cartoon Invincible.
He was introduced as a robot, but it was later revealed that he was actually a human with a birth defect that forced him to live in a tank with a special environment to keep him alive, and interact with the world through robot drones he pretended were his real body. He later stole Rex Splode's DNA and had the Mauler Twins make him a new body with a copy of his mind; the first thing the clone did was to euthanize the original "Robot", who would choose a new alias, "Rudy". Rudy would later take on a new first name ("Rex") to honour Rex Splode, who fell in battle.
