A 2018 animated film in Marvel's Spider-Man series, loosely based on the Spider-Verse event from the comics. As in the source material, the film follows a story in which spider heroes from multiple different universes are brought together to stop an interdimensional threat. It notably uses a variety of art and animation styles to highlight the differences in the worlds each hero comes from. The movie is also notable for being Miles Morales' first film appearance.

The movie was a massive success, winning the Academy, Annie, and Golden Globe Awards for Best Animated Feature, and creating a wave of interest in a live-action adaptation of the Spider-Verse comic.

A sequel titled Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse released in 2023, and a third film titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-verse is set to release in 2027. Multiple spin-offs are also in development.
