Well, I guess my real motive wasn't so much that ¥200 for a round trip would be a waste, but rather that, since we'd be coming right back down even if we went up, I wanted to go when we'd be able to take our time while were at it!
By the way, that twisty thing is a roller slider, and I hear it costs ¥200 per ride. :-)
