    I think he actually meant Strudel (an originally Austrian pie (also seen in German, Italian and Hungarian cuisines)that is mostly known for its apple filling (Apfelstrudel) despite having quite a few other possible fillings like quark cheese, milk cream, sour cherry, plum or apricot (among others).

    Black Forest cake is also a German classic (you can never go wrong with chocolate over chocolate over chocolate...^^), marble cakes are also popular in certain parts of Germany (Bavaria mostly), like the already mentioned Stollen, or the Spritzkuchen (German crullers).

    Germany is quite a sweet country ^^
