    Translator's note: In 1940, there was a plan to establish the Seventh Carrier Division consisted of Houshou, 2 auxiliary carriers and 3 Akizuki-class destroyers: Akizuki, Teruzuki and Hatsuzuki. The plan was scrapped at the outbreak of Asia-Pacific War.

    The idea of a Seventh Carrier Division built around Houshou sounds kinda nuts. Houshou has half the aircraft capacity of a typical converted liner or escort carrier, and she can't even carry modern planes like Zeroes. She's much better suited for training than the front lines, where she's outclassed by CV(Expendable) fodder.
