Iowa was part of the Atlantic Fleet before she was reassigned to the Pacific. Spent like two months too trying to counter Bissy's little NEET sister (NEET being NEET though, there was no sight of her).

Well she did transport Roosevelt around a bit.

Why worry about Nachi. You got five Nazi ships around the base somewhere.

USS Prinz Eugen, transiting the Panama Canal. Hull number IX-300.

    Destination: Bikini Atoll.

Explaining the joke: Iowa forgot that Prinz was with the Kriegsmarine.

All the more funnier since Iowa doesn't realize that Prinz is still in her KMS uniform, and isn't USS Prinz Eugen yet.

Mostly in the West, and people with a Western education or otherwise much exposed to Western culture. Asians (East, West, India, South-east Asia, etc.), not so much. Probably because the Holocaust isn't really taught in schools (and if taught, it is mostly only glossed over) as it would raise a lot of uncomfortable questions about how their respective governments treat their own racial minorities and political rivals.

Ah yes, the ol' 'Nazi killing the Jews was no doubt evil, but the killing of <insert persecuted class of people here> {never happened, was entirely justified}'.

Sometimes I wonder exactly how fucked is this world, then I look at Asia, and realized that the answer was right in front of me.

    ... Yeah.
I was worried for a second.
    AHAHAHA. I KNOW, RIGHT?
    Did I say something bad?
So you're the rumored American ship, am I right?
... Oh, so that's your name, right? オッケー オッケー!!
    What? That pause just now...
I'm Nachi, nice to meet you.
There are some strange names in Japan, aren't there?
